Behind the scenes of Ed Westwick's photoshoot for Penshoppe

Recently Ed Westwick did a photoshoot for Penshoppe which is one of the leading fashion giants of the country. He did the photoshoot in Manila. If you want to read more about it, then you have to look below.

"INTERNATIONAL actor Ed Westwick is the new face of Penshoppe, one of the leading fashion giants in the country.

In a private party organized by Penshoppe, Vice-President for Brand Management Jasper Evangelista and Brand Director Alex Mendoza introduced the "Gossip Girl" actor as the lead endorser of the brand's 25th anniversary pre-Holiday 2011/2012 collection.

According to Mendoza, Westwick will best represent Penshoppe's new and revitalized image.

"We've been improving the products, the stores and we want someone who can tie-up everything. We need a strong and new face to launch the revitalized Penshoppe," Mendoza said.

Westwick spent a couple of days in Manila to shoot the said campaign headed by international photographer Darren Tieste.

When asked about his experience in the Philippine capital, the British-born actor said everything went well and he
was able to visit Manila Bay by a yacht.

"It's a short trip here but everything is going really, really well. We had a photo shoot the other day. You have a beautiful city here, and beautiful people," he said.

Westwick added that he's thrilled to be the lead endorser for the 2011/2012 collection and the brand is also a reflection on how he dresses.

"I think Penshoppe is a strong brand. They are a very ambitious brand and they are celebrating their 25th year. They have a strong vision of what they want to do. They also have a very good sense of high fashion but keeping it commercial enough. It was a perfect thing to tie up together and make it happen," he said.

"It's in my personality. Somebody who is driven, also a bit ambitious. Somebody who is also very approachable and always looking out for the best," he said. "I think that's what Penshoppe has been trying to tie together: its ambition, its sense of style, and expression of creativity with international appeal. I think fashion is really an important part of our lives in this day and age. It's a self expression."

During the press conference, the actor also shared that aside from the warmth he received from the Filipinos, Penshoppe gave him a Kenneth Cobonpue Bamboo chair.

The actor is also very fond of Philippines' pride Manny Pacquiao and said he met Filipina international singing sensation Charice.

Westwick left Manila Thursday night to go back to the US to shoot the upcoming season of Gossip Girl. He said he will be back in Manila soon." (Glaiza Jarloc/Sunnex)

Thank you, altijd fijn om nieuwe volgers te hebben. Ik zal je hier ook even volgen. Helemaal into Gossip Girl?
