Support World AIDS day ! Lady Gaga and other artists sign off their Twitter and Facebook today.
As most people know, today it is World AIDS Day and Lady Gaga + some other artists have decided to sign off from social network sites such as Twitter and Facebook from this day on. It's a new campaign called Digital Life Sacrifice on behalf of Alicia Key's charity, Keep a Child Alive. Leigh Blake, the president of Keep a Child Alive said : "I have a feeling that Lady Gaga is going to raise it all by herself. She has more than 7.2 million followers on Twitter and nearly 24 million fans on Facebook. She's got a very mobilized fanbase and that's beautiful to watch and she's able to draw their attention to these issues that are very important, you know, and that people follow it and act."
Lady Gaga has sacrificed her digital life to help millions of real lives affected by AIDS in Africa and India.
Lady Gaga and other artists like Justin Timberlake and Usher will not return to their social network sites until they reach $1 million dollars.
So if you want to help out and donate, then you can choose between the following options :
If you live in the United States, then text "GAGA" to 90999 to donate $10
If you live in the United Kingdom, then thext "BUYLIFE" to 70500 to donate £5
And for worldwide, go here to donate with your creditcard
Go to BuyLife.org for more information.
What do you think about this campaign by the way ? I think it's really good and especially because Lady Gaga is in it as she has a big fanbase on Twitter and Facebook indeed.
Xoxo

xoxo
@Anne & Anne Ja zeker!
