Today is the birthday of someone (even though he isn't alive anymore) who created the magical movies of Disney named Walt Disney. He was born in Chicago on the 5th of December 1901 and aged 65 years old in Los Angeles. He would have been 110 years old today. He deserves a blogpost as he made my childhood incredible with his lovely Disney movies and because I'm still a big fan of Disney. Thank you for everything Walt Disney!

Every year I like to buy a calendar because I think it's just nice to have a calendar in your room and especially because of the beautiful photos in it. This year I didn't take one calendar but two because I simply couldn't choose between "Gossip Girl" or "Harry Potter". As it was the last movie of Harry Potter this year, I just had to take the calendar from the Deathly Hallows : Part 2 besides the "Gossip Girl" calendar. Last year I had bought a "Gossip Girl" calendar as well and I really like those but this year I bought UK edition calendars and not U.S. versions. I bought them at https://www.calendarclub.co.uk/ and the shipping was really quick! It was shipped the 27th of October and it arrived the 4th of November. The customer service is great as well. Really recommend this website if you like calendars like me and there is much more variety of choice compared to the shops you see in the street (at least where I live). I'm really happy with my calendars, the photos are beautiful and the calendars are quite big when you open them up. And I didn't know this first but when I opened the calendars, I saw that they added the 4 last months of the year 2011 as well so I can hang them up already, that's great.

There are many movies that I want to see that either recently have been released in the cinemas or that still have to come out. Here is the list.

1) Snow White and the Huntsman (starring Kristen Stewart & Charlize Theron)

A modern version of the Snow White story, with a twist to it. I think Kristen Stewart with her pale skin is well chosen for the role of Snow White. I like the fact that Charlize Theron plays in it, she plays in one of my favourite movies "Sweet November" and I think she is a great actress.







In a twist to the fairy tale, the Huntsman ordered to take Snow White into the woods to be killed winds up becoming her protector and mentor in a quest to vanquish the Evil Queen.

Release date in Belgium: 30 May 2012

2) Mirror Mirror (starring Julia Roberts)

Another version of the Snow White story and one of my favourite actresses Julia Roberts plays the evil queen, can't wait to see her play that role.






An evil queen steals control of a kingdom and an exiled princess enlists the help of seven resourceful rebels to win back her birthright.

Release date in The Netherlands (couldn't find the one from Belgium but I think it will be about the same): 22 March 2012

3) My Week with Marilyn (starring Michelle Williams & Emma Watson)

This movie looks interesting to me because it's about Marilyn Monroe and of course because Emma Watson plays in it, I think she is a great actress but so is Michelle Williams.






Colin Clark, an employee of Sir Laurence Olivier's, documents the tense interaction between Olivier and Marilyn Monroe during production of The Prince and the Showgirl.

As a big fan of movies I felt like sharing two movies that I saw some time ago, one in October and one in November. The first one is something that I especially recommend to animal lovers and especially if you have a dog. Be warned though, this might bring you tears, at least I got teary from it. I couldn't stay dry with this movie, I can't imagine anyone who would. It's a true story by the way.





This movie is about a man who one night arrives at his train station to walk home and he finds a lost puppy on the train station. There is one problem though, nobody knows from who it is and that's when he decides to take it home. His wife doesn't like it first and really demands him to find the owner of it, his daughter likes it though. As the days pass and he still hasn't find the owner of the dog and his wife sees how much joy he gets from the dog, she decides that it's okay to keep the dog even though there is a person at that moment calling about the dog. She says to that person, sorry but the dog has already been taken, how sweet. The next scene you see the dog all grown up and the two walk everyday to the train station, his owner tells him to go home again but he refuses and waits there all day until his boss comes home from work. His owner is surprised in a good way and is happy to see his dog back again and can't believe he has actually been waiting there all day. They walk home together and this routine continues everyday. In the meanwhile, his daughter is married and when she tells her father that she is pregnant after her mother knows it too, he is over the moon and so happy. But then one day, her father and so the owner of the dog doesn't return home ... From that day on, it becomes sadder and sadder.


I won't tell you more because else you will know everything and that's no fun. I strongly recommend this movie, it's so beautiful and touching and once again reminds people that dogs really are a man's best friend.

If you have watched the movie, tell me, did you cry or not because I can't imagine anyone who wouldn't cry with this movie and what did you think of it? There is statue of Hachiko in Japan by the way, can't believe it really happened this story. If I would ever go to Japan, I would love to see that statue for real. The movie was released in December 2009.
