Two movies that I really liked in October and November
As a big fan of movies I felt like sharing two movies that I saw some time ago, one in October and one in November. The first one is something that I especially recommend to animal lovers and especially if you have a dog. Be warned though, this might bring you tears, at least I got teary from it. I couldn't stay dry with this movie, I can't imagine anyone who would. It's a true story by the way.
This movie is about a man who one night arrives at his train station to walk home and he finds a lost puppy on the train station. There is one problem though, nobody knows from who it is and that's when he decides to take it home. His wife doesn't like it first and really demands him to find the owner of it, his daughter likes it though. As the days pass and he still hasn't find the owner of the dog and his wife sees how much joy he gets from the dog, she decides that it's okay to keep the dog even though there is a person at that moment calling about the dog. She says to that person, sorry but the dog has already been taken, how sweet. The next scene you see the dog all grown up and the two walk everyday to the train station, his owner tells him to go home again but he refuses and waits there all day until his boss comes home from work. His owner is surprised in a good way and is happy to see his dog back again and can't believe he has actually been waiting there all day. They walk home together and this routine continues everyday. In the meanwhile, his daughter is married and when she tells her father that she is pregnant after her mother knows it too, he is over the moon and so happy. But then one day, her father and so the owner of the dog doesn't return home ... From that day on, it becomes sadder and sadder.
I won't tell you more because else you will know everything and that's no fun. I strongly recommend this movie, it's so beautiful and touching and once again reminds people that dogs really are a man's best friend.
If you have watched the movie, tell me, did you cry or not because I can't imagine anyone who wouldn't cry with this movie and what did you think of it? There is statue of Hachiko in Japan by the way, can't believe it really happened this story. If I would ever go to Japan, I would love to see that statue for real. The movie was released in December 2009.
My rating is 9.5/10

Magic Beyond Words: The J.K. Rowling Story
This movie was on the television two weeks ago and as big Harry Potter fan, I couldn't miss it. I think I will buy it on DVD someday.
To say it short, this movie is an unofficial biography movie about J.K. Rowling. You see her as a child growing up, from a girl to a young, classy and well educated lady/woman to an intelligent and famous writer. They show how she got the inspiration for the Harry Potter books and how the process went from finding an agent to a bookshop who wanted to publish her first book from Harry Potter. But they also show other aspects from her life before she became famous, how her mother died and how it had a big impact on her, how her marriage failed and how her sister encouraged her to write but her mother encouraged her since the beginning as well. Her sister is the first one who read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and when she had read it, she said, go for it, if you want to write, write! It's her sister who finally made her do it and finish the book off. The movie starts with J.K. Rowling sitting in the car going to the premiere of her first book and then she tells the person next to her that she has to think a bit before she goes outside because she can't believe that this all is happening and then the story about J.K. Rowling starts. The movie ends with J.K. Rowling stepping out of the car and going to the movies. She comes home and she reads her favourite childhood book that her mother used to read for her to her child. As last to finish the movie off, they show some real facts, did you know that every 30 seconds someone starts to read a Harry Potter book?
I definitely recommend this movie to any Harry Potter fan, especially if you're curious how J.K. Rowling's life was before Harry Potter (she really didn't have an easy life) and if you want to know how she got started on Harry Potter and how she got inspiration for it and how the process was after she had finished her first Harry Potter book. And if you want to see how her life changed after her first Harry Potter book was published in the UK and the U.S. Really an interesting movie about the biography of J.K. Rowling. She changed from a woman who could barely survive with social assistance for her and her baby to one of the richest women of England. The movie was released in July 2011.
My rating : 9/10.
