Let's talk : Gossip Girl - 4.22 - The Wrong Goodbye

Wow, just WOW, when I saw the season finale of season 4 of "Gossip Girl" last night I could only think of one word and that is EPIC. What an amazing ending and it had some great twists!
SPOILERS ALERT!:
- Last time we saw in the end of "Shattered Bass" that Russell met up with Blair instead of Chuck and in this episode he held her captive in the Hotel Empire of Chuck Bass. He was planning to blow up the whole place like he did back the with his wife Avery Thorpe. Luckily Blair is smart enough to call Chuck and calls him in secret while she talks to Russell, Chuck hears her voice and she lets him know n a subtile way where she is, smart girl Blair says Chuck then. When Russell is almost blowing up the place, Blair says that she knows that the Basses can be very annoying because she had experience with Chuck Bass and she has a conversation about it with Russell. Then we almost lights his lightner, Blair screams no and Chuck breaks the door open and saves Blair, how sweet. In the meanwhile Raina and Nate are there too and Raina says to her father why he is there and that she understands that he didn't do it on purpose the fire that caused her mother to die and that she forgives him but then she takes his lightner and says then and you will go a long time in prison and I'm not planning to visit you, ouch ... Poor Russell Thorpe. Raina tells Nate in the evening that she is planning to go home, but not home in NYC but home as in Chicago where she used to live. They hug each other and that's it, ahwww.
- When Blair is saved, Blair says thank you for saving her and Chuck proposes one drink to forget all about it and have a good evening together. She agrees on one drink and they end up on a Bar Mitzwa event, they have the time of their lives and smile so happily at each other. I was so happy for them when I saw those moments, so sweet and cute! Then there was a scene that made me go OMG! When the dancing and all is over, she takes him to another room and starts kissing him! He kisses back of course and takes of her dress and well, from there on you know the whole story ;-) Chuck says afterwards that it's time to go back to reality and to head back to the Constance party where her prince Louis is waiting for her (still). His mother says to him to give it up and to let it go but he doesn't want to give up on Blair that easy and quick because he loves her, he even says that to Chuck when he sees him arriving at St. Constance. Quikly after Chuck, Blair arrives and she is glad that prince Louis is still there because she wants to tell him something. Unfortunately she can't say what she really wanted to say because Chuck interrupts her by saying to the prince that he gives them his blessing and that he wishes them all the best. Later on, Blair goes to Chuck and asks why he said that to the prince and he gives her a whole speech about letting go and that he wants her to be happy and that it's time to say goodbye. The sweetest moment was when Blair said "I will always love you" and Chuck said "I will always love you too", my gosh, that was so indescribable that moment. I was almost with tears in my eyes when I saw that sweet and sad conversation between Blair and Chuck. I can almost say that I saw the tears and sadness behind the eyes of Chuck ... The prince hears them ending the conversation and when the conversation is over she goes up to her prince and they leave. Chuck meets up with Nate later and Nate can see that Chuck is sad because he barely drinks. Chuck says that it was the best thing to do and that Blair is shining and that that is the Blair he loves, how sweet can he be? Sigh ... Nate is surprised and says that Chuck has actually matured now and they have a small laughter.
- Charlie, that's another storyline, last time she asked Dan to call her Serena and of course he was kind of surprised in a weird way by that. In the season finale, he says to Nate what she said to him and he laughs of course but then says in a serious tone that it's kind of weird indeed. Anyway, Serena and Vanessa are asking the rest and especially Dan if they know where Charlie is because she could be in serious trouble (because of the medication and all). Dan finds her and sees her drinking a little too much and says that she should probably calm down a little and that everything is fine from last time but she still runs off and wants to find a window where she can jump out from. We also find another well known "Gossip Girl" character at the party and that is Georgina Sparks. She has like we all know a child named Milo(w) and has a boyfriend or husband as well. Unfortunately she is kind of bored with her life and asks Serena if she can tell the details about everything that is going on right now because she misses the action in her life. Of course Serena doesn't tell her anything and neither Vanessa and Dan. As Georgina has found Charlie, she meets up with Serena in the hallway and says that she might or might not have seen Charlie, she ends up telling Serena where Charlie is and she is just in time to save Charlie from jumping out of the window. They have a girl talk and says that she is not alone and that she herself feels alone too sometimes. They hug and they go downstairs again. She tells the rest that she has to make a phonecall to her mother to tell her that everything is fine. Georgina goes up to her and busts Charlie by saying that she never needed medication, right and she also gives her phonenumber in case she ever gets bored or comes back again to NYC.
- Vanessa she snooped around while she was at the loft of Dan and she discovered that he has been writing a book for about 5 years. She calls him and says that the book is amazing and he should get it published. He gets angry of course because he doesn't like the fact that she has been snooping around in his room and tells her to get out of there. They have an arguement about how Dan has changed ever since the day that he met Serena and entered the world of Upper East Side. He gets even more frustrated and says that life was better if she had never climbed up his fire escape. The phone conversation ends but Vanessa takes the book script with her and sells it to a publisher. She tells the publisher to send the money to her and that she will give it to the author afterwards. She gives an adress in Spain, Barcelona.
- So the end is nearing of the season finale of the 4th season of "Gossip Girl" and we find all these interesting things out like how Serena's cousin isn't actually the cousin of Serena but just some girl Serena's aunt hired so that her family stop searching for her daughter. The girl Ivy who played Charlie all the time stole checkbooks and in return she got some money from Serena's aunt and they say goodbye. Charlie/Ivy looks at the phonenumber of Georgina and is probably thinking of returning to NYC ... What a twist, ey? Then there was another twist, an amazing one again. As Dorota is cleaning up Blair's room, we see a positive pregnancy test of Blair in the bin. Dorota doesn't see it though. All the Chair fans including me are hoping for a Bass baby for the 5th season! They just belong together, there is so much chemistry between them. I'm happy for her though that she is getting married, she said to Serena that they are thinking about getting married in November. For the Summer she goes to Monaco and they will prepare the wedding in the meanwhile as well. Serena goes off to see her grandmother in the Hamptons. She also already meets a new guy there we see in the end, let's see how it goes in the next season.

Oké, ik heb deze post expres niet gelezen want ik moet de aflevering nog kijken.. de foto's beloven echter veel goeds :D
Omg! Ik vond deze aflevering beetje vreemd, tot de laatste 2 minuten! Wanneer komt het nieuwe seizoen uit? :O Nu wil ik weer dat Chuck en Blair samen komen... vermits ze een baby verwachten... En Charlie... Dat had ik helemaal niet verwacht!
