Last time we ended that Blair went to Chuck's appartment and saying that he was good this whole time and Diana left the NY Spectator which leaves Nate to being the editor in chief for NY Spectator just like his grandfather wanted. And Ivy's ex is in town and Ivy is afraid that he will tell everyone who she really is.

The episode starts with the Rhodes family preparing for the Studio 54 party in honour of CeCe Rhodes. It has a fun disco theme and everyone is dressed in golden and glitter. 

We see Serena and Max arriving from their date, they have spent 24h in the city that never sleeps. Max suggests he bakes the cake for her grandmother instead of an anonymous baker and Serena can't wait to do it together but Ivy later on prevents them from doing it because he tells Ivy that he might reveal anytime soon who she really is if he doesn't get the cash faster that she promised him. 

Then we have Dan who is continuously on Twitter trying to stop the Dan Humprey haters and he goes on the search for that one account that is called @IHateHumprey (it exists even, haha https://twitter.com/#!/IHateHumphrey and @HumpreyLove as well https://twitter.com/#!/HumphreyLove) and he discovers with a surprise that it's his publicist but she explains him that she only did that because she wants to bring attention to him as his sales were dropping. She says she can delete her account but he tells he has a better idea and together they tweet online, he tweets with @IHateHumprey nd she tweets with @HumphreyLove.

Blair is busy with the wedding invitations and tells Dorota that she still wants to marry the prince Louis but that she only wants to marry the Louis who brought her slipper back from France, the sweet one. Dorota comes with the idea that they maybe did something like the movie Freaky Friday with Chuck, that Chuck is the good one now and Louis the bad one. Blair actually thinks she may be on to something and visits Chuck, she sees him meditating in his appartment and asks him how he did it. He says he just decided to move on. Later on they are together in a therapy session with his therapist and he asks her what she is exactly doing here and she is saying that she just wants to know how Chuck did it. The therapist is asking her if she wants her fiancee to be like Chuck and she says no. She really tries to get the answer from Chuck but she doesn't seem to get an exact answer to her question until he says that on the night of the Spectactor launch, he had left the engagement ring that he bought her on her doorstep of Harry Winston. She leaves with a sad face and goes home.

Nate is telling everyone that things will be different now at NY Spectator and that they will only publish truth on the website but then an employer comes to him and says she has news about the congress man, that his wife is cheating on him and that the congress man is his cousin Tripp. He tells her first to verify it but he also calls Tripp about it before he publishes anything because he wants his cousin to know about it. Tripp thanks him and leaves.

In the meanwhile, while nobody expected it Carole Rhodes arrives at the party of her mother anyway even though she didn't really want that, she didn't want any drama that is usually caused by Carole but Carole only came to help Ivy Dickens because her ex is threatening to reveal her real identity in front of everyone and is wanting a lot of cash from Ivy. Carole tries to get the cash for Ivy through her mother CeCe and by coincidence when CeCe is in the living room, they are discussing about how Charlie should have her own place in New York. CeCe of course like it was intended hears all of this and says to Carole that she should stop pretending and tell her why she needs the money for real. Carole says that she really wants Charlie to have her own place in New Yok and that she shouldn't think anything else. Carole leaves and pretends she is mad because her own mother doesn't trust her with her money, she says I'll be going outside on the streets where I belong. At that moment Charlie's grandmother feels unwell and starts to fall on the sofa almost, Charlie asks if she is alright and sees that CeCe takes pills for something. CeCe tells her that her mother Carole was just pressuring her blood pressure, Charlie helps her by getting her glass of water so that she can take her medication. 

Serena overhears a conversation between her mother and her aunt Carole about Charlie/Ivy and discovers something and suddenly calls Max and says that the party has so said been cancelled and asks him if he wants to come over. When Ivy sees that Max has arrived at the party, she is asking him what he is doing here and he tells her that Serena told him that the party was cancelled and she replies with that that isn't true. Serena walks over to them and says out of nowhere oh, so you two didn't use to date? They say yes and Serena demands that Charlie tells everyone who she really is or whatever her alter ago is. Lily comes in between and tells Serena that it isn't Charlie' fault but that Carole had let her live under the name Ivy because she didn't want her daughter to have the name Rhodes because she hated that name. Lily even says that her sister suffers from insanity, when Carole hears that, she isn't quite pleased. Serena just wants to truth because she invited her back to New York and Lily & Rufus gave her roof above her head and she has her trust fund back. She wants Charlie to stop lying and tell her what she is and her boyfriend are up to. Then at that moment her grandmother CeCe faints, she still has her pulse luckily and Carole asks Max his coat so that she can put that underneath her head. What Max doesn't realize is that Carole has stolen the Alice in Wonderland folder from his pocket so that he doesn't have any proof anymore that Charlie is actually an actress called Ivy to blackmail her. Charlie tells her grandma to tell the truth because she knows what's going on, Charlie tells everyone that grandma has been dieting so that she could fit into her jumpsuit, a few martini's and a glass of champagne on an empty stomach, anyone would pass out. They give her some food so that she can feel good again. In the meanwhile, Serena still wants Charlie to tell them everything. Charlie tells Serena that she is sorry that she lied about the fact that she lived under the name Ivy Dickens, CeCe wonders who Ivy Dickens is and Carole says that she changed her name because she didn't want Charlie to have the Rhodes name. Charlie tells she was being manipulated and that her boyfriend Max wanted money from her, that he was blackmailing her. She pretends that Max had a tape of her that he was threatening to expose to everyone and that she was worried that he was going to do the same to Serena and that that is the reason why she didn't want Serena to date Max. Max tells everyone that he doesn't have a tape at all, Serena then asks her why she just didn't tell the truth. Charlie says she wanted to pay him off to get rid off him, Max can't believe that they believe her and tells them that she is scamming them and that she is Ivy Dickens, a wannabe actress from Florida and that Carole isn't even her real mother, that she grew up in trailer parks, that her father was a heroine addict who died right in front of her. Max says he has proof and searches his pockets but doesnt find the Alice in Wonderland flyer he had before because Carole has taken it out of his jacket. CeCe has heard enough and says she knows it in her bones that that is her granddaughter Charlie Rhodes, Serena tells him to go before she calls the police. Max says he has warned all of them and goes. Carole apologizes at the party to Lily about the fact that she changed Charlie's name. Lily tells her that she just wants to be The Rhodes as long as they have left and Carole agrees.  CeCe thanks Charlie for her descretion earlier and Charlie says no problem but that if she is really sick that she should tell the family about it.

Then the woman who does the cakes enters the room while they are talking and says ah, the groom is here too and with a sad face, Chuck says that he isn't the groom and leaves the room.
