Let's talk - Gossip Girl - 5.08 - All The Pretty Sources

Another Monday has passed so that means also a new episode of "Gossip Girl" has passed.
Last time we ended with the fact that we found out that Diana has been working with Nate's grandfather this whole time and that Ivy's ex leaves the party after he sees her on the "Gossip Girl' site under the name "Charlie" Rhodes.
WARNING : SPOILERS!
The episode opens with Serena preparing a baby shower party for Blair and "Gossip Girl" says that two persons aren't invited namely Chuck Bass & Dan Humphrey. We find Chuck Bass walking with his dog while two wannabe girls walk over to him and say all these things like "no wonder that Blair didn't choose you, you're the opposite of royalty" and they look at his dog in a weird way.Chuck Bass tells them to go away before he unleashes his dog and that he is especially trained to go after fake Prada, lol.
While Blair is showing Louis all the presents she has bought for Serena as a thank you in advance for everything she has done for her. Louis asks her whether she really knows for sure that her friends have the best intrest at heart for her. Blair says that that is nonsense and later on she finds her minions and is trying to figure out what they are up to and if they are planning a party in secrecy. She doesn't suspect a thing and leaves with dissapointment the shop where she was at when she thinks that there is nothing going on. Later on she meets her prince Louis and says that he was right but then they go to the place of the van der Woodsens and she sees that they did plan a party with a Tiffany's theme, it's so well done She is over the moon and so happy about it. Serena even holds a very beautiful speech about her friendship with Blair and how she is feels honoured to know Blair. She also organizes a contest where every girl gets a blue box and one of them has a diamond ring in it, Charlie ends up having it and is all happy but she later on gives it to her ex Max because else he will betray her that she actually is Ivy and not Charlie like she told Lily.
Then there is a surprise, Chuck crashes the party and Louis isn't too happy about that but Chuck tells him that he really didn't want to be here but that he is just trying to stop Dan from ruining the party as he crashed the party as well. Before that he was at Chuck's place to try to find some destraction or fun because like Chuck he wasn't invited to the baby shower party. Chuck gave him two girls to entertain him but the girls tell Chuck that after a lot of babbling about some girl named Serena and taking some action that he left the building while they were showering. After that conversation, Chuck left off to Blair's baby shower party to stop him. Dan who is half drunk by the way goes to Blair and asks her why he wasn't invited to the party and that she shouldn't use the reason that it was because of his novel. Chuck takes him away and Blair asks them what they are doing here and they are being taken away by someone and they leave the party. Chuck finds Dan later on the street sitting on a staircase and Chuck doesn't want to sit on it as well but doesn't anyway out of kindness. He says to Dan that he meant to make an ass but not to make an ass out of himself, he then tells Dan that he observed that Dan is in love with Blair. Dan says no, that's not true, that can't be. Chuck says that Blair followed her heart and chose the prince and that they both lost her. He brings Dan back to his place after their conversation about Blair.
Then there is whole thing between Diana and Nate's grandfather and he tells her that she should make Nate the editor in chief of NY Inspectator, she doesn't want to do that just yet and then he tells her that he only wanted to remake Nate and not make her a star. In the meanwhile Nate calls Serena that she should her inbox and so she does, she finds an e-mail with a link to all the sources of "Gossip Girl", she can see all the gossip and by who it was sent and which people come in it. Nate tells her that he wants to publish it so that he can take "Gossip Girl" down. People wouldn't trust "Gossip Girl" anymore with their confidential details and wouldn't visit her website either. Serena begs him not to do that because there are lot of things sent it by her and he wouldn't only hurt her but also their other friends. In the end he agrees with her and decides to not tell Diana about that sources link. It's too late though because right after he tells Serena that over the phone she overhears him and asks "what won't you tell Diana?". She sees the website now too and wants to publish it directly but Nate convines her not to do it when she sees that Nate has never ever sent any gossip about anyone to "Gossip Girl". With this information, she realises that Nate is a very honest and kind person and she doesn't go through with it. When Nate leaves, she calls William (his grandfather) to tell them that they need to talk.
During the party of Blair, Blair is wondering why no eyes are directed at her because after all it's all about her today and her minions, Penelope in this case shows her mobile phone, someone did end up publishing the sources of "Gossip Girl" on the internet. Each of them asks Blair why she sent that and that about them to "Gossip Girl". Blair goes to Serena and asks her if she did this and starts to think about what Louis said about if her friends really have the best interest at heart for her. Serena says that she really didn't do that, she did know about the sources but that she would never do that. She thinks that Diana the boss of Nate probably did it because besides her and Nate that Diana knew about that website and Louis has seen it too. Blair then looks straight at Louis who is standing in the background and knows directly that it's him who published it. Blair confronts Louis about it and he said that he only did it because he wanted to show her how her friends are really like. She then says that he could have shown it to her in private instead of publishing it on the internet,that it's not about her friends but about them, that they are only fighting lately. Blair says that she can't do this anymore, she tells him to join the people who are leaving the party and that she needs some time to think about the future of their relationship.
After the party, Blair has a nice chat with her best friend Serena and Serena wonders why Blair was thinking that she would have published that webpage and says have you seen how many blasts I have sent to Gossip Girl throughout the years? And Blair responds with I have checked it too and I have sent twice as many and they have a laugh and Blair says, I knew in my heart that it wasn't you who did it. Louis was putting ideas in Blair's head by saying that her friends were a destructive force but that she thinks that he is being a selfdestructive force. Serena asks her what she is going to do about it. Blair doesn't know and asks Serena to please not tell anyone about the fact that Louis is the one who revealed "Gossip Girl's sources. She doesn't want everyone else to hate him as much as she does at the moment. Serena says of course and asks if they can talk about Chuck for a minute. Blair responds with "he just had to find an excuse to crash the party tonight, didn't he", Serena says "what, he didn't crash the party, he was trying to stop Dan, he was doing you a favor, believe it or not. I thought you realized".
Nate can't believe that Diana was behind his back all this time and tells that to his grandfather. His grandfather says that there is a lesson about it that we usually are blinded by the people that we care the most about. He says the good news is that with Diana leaving that all the "Gossip Girl" things will flock to them or rather to Nate because he is the new editor in chief. He congratulates Nate and says that he earnt it.
We see in the end of this episode that Max shows up at the place where Serena stays and is surprised to see him because usually when a guy stands up a girl, he doesn't usually show up a week later at her door. He says that there was a huge misunderstanding and she says well wouldn't he call then? Max says that she deserves better and the guy woud like to get the option to literally go down on his knees and beg her for a second chance. She says well, if you had stopped talking and went down on your knees, I would have probably said yes. She forgives him and gives a second chance but he has to use it wisely and he says yes I plan to.
We also see William calling Diana and saying that she wouldn't be so upset because she got what she wanted, she says that she would have hoped to not have to destroy her relationship with Nate to do it. Williams says that he is young and that he will forget it and also faster if he finds out the truth about her and she says that that is the only reason that she fell down on his sword tonight. William tells her that it's better this way, that it's good to leave before anyone discovers her secret. Diana says that he has to remember that if they find out about her, that they will also find out about him and she hangs up.
Then we have who Max calls Ivy on her voicemail and tells her that he will actually stay a little longer in New York and that 50.000 isn't going to cut it (she had promised him that much money if he would stay away from her and the rest but also so that he can start his own restaurant like he always wanted to) and that he would like to have 500.000 from her.
As a last thing, we see Chuck covering Dan up with a blanket who lays knocked out on his coach and who do we see walking out of his elevator? Blair. He looks surprised to see her and he says, you shouldn't be here and she says, I know but I had to come. You have been really good this whole time, haven't you? The end of this week's episode.
Ahhh, how exciting is this? I want Blair & Chuck to reunite, who's with me?

Het was weer een KEIgoede aflevering he!
Eh, CHUCK! He is handsomeee, haha, moet altijd lachen om wat hij zegt, met zijn smoothface. Blair, maakt niet iut wat zij aantrekt en alsnog ziet ze er gorgeous uit. :) Serena trouwens ook!
